The Lancaster High School junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams celebrated their annual Dig Pink breast cancer awareness match with wins over Northumberland on Tuesday, October 14.
The Lady Devils hold the event each year to raise money for breast cancer research and education projects. The event includes raffle prizes, a bake sale, commemorative t-shirt sales and an honor/memory walk. This year, the event was dedicated in memory of Ms. Angela Turner White, who worked in the LHS office for more than 20 years. The 2022 Dig Pink match also was dedicated in her honor, when she was in recovery from her first cancer diagnosis. The disease returned and she died in December 2024. Her family, including her son Tyler Colding, participated in the dedication ceremony.
The Lancaster JV defeated NHS, 2-0, and the varsity Lady Devils swept the Indians, 3-0.
