Lady Devils score back-to-back wins over Middlesex, 10-0, 11-1

The Lady Devils beat Middlesex in back-to-back varsity softball games last week to improve to 6-4 and will host their first Region 1A tournament playoff game since 2007.

Blair Smith and Rachel Taft recorded the wins over Tidewater District’s Middlesex.

Smith went all five innings in the slaughter-rule 11-1 win June 1 in Saluda. She struck out six and gave up three hits. 

Taft was in the circle June 2 at Dream Fields when Lancaster recorded a second five-inning win….
