Lady Devils smash Eastern Shore; 40 hits and 52 runs in two games

The Lady Devils scored 52 runs in back-to-back varsity games on the Eastern Shore last week, defeating both Northampton and Nandua.

Lancaster is riding a three-game winning streak and taking a 7-2 record into Northern Neck District softball play next week. LHS will host Northumberland April 15 to open district play and travel to NHS in Claraville on April 17.

Lancaster 26, Nandua 10

Lancaster collected 18 hits and scored 22 runs in its first two at bats to rout Nandua, 26-10, in a mercy-rule game on April 1.

Addie George drove in six runs and went 4-for-4 with a double for three runs scored to lead Lancaster’s long list of hitters. Every LHS batter had at least one hit.

Ayla Saunders was 2-for-2, drew two walks and smacked a triple to left field in the top of the second to drive in three….
