Lancaster put up its best fight of the season against Northumberland Monday night in a Northern Neck District volleyball tournament match.
Lancaster won the first game and the fourth but the Lady Indians knocked the Lady Devils out of tourney play, taking the semifinal match, 3-2. Northumberland beat Lancaster, 3-0 and 3-1, during the regular season.
Lancaster won the opening game, 25-15, in the tourney match and then gave up 17-25 and 19-25 sets to the Lady Indians before tying the contest with a 25-18 win in the fourth game. Northumberland dominated in the tie-breaker game…
