Lady Raiders dominate LHS, 52-29

The varsity Lady Devils put up four points in the first minute then dug a hole they couldn’t get out of Monday when Rappahannock beat Lancaster, 52-29, in a Northern Neck District tournament semifinal at LHS.

The Lady Raiders held Lancaster scoreless for the final seven minutes of the first quarter and allowed the Lady Devils only three points in the second on a field goal by Harmony Taylor and a Carli Henderson free throw. Taylor scored four of Lancaster’s seven points in the first half and finished as the high scorer with 10.

Lancaster struggled with bad throws, miscues and turnovers in the first half when Rappahannock built a 22-7 lead.
