April is National Poetry Month, and the Lancaster Community Library is teaming up with poet Denise DeVries for a free poetry workshop, “Where I’m From,” April 20-23.
DeVries is a translator and writer who recently returned to the Northern Neck after four years in Arizona. In addition to poetry, she writes historical fiction including her newest book, Sweet Tea and Vinegar Pie, which takes place on the Chesapeake Bay in the time of steamboat travel.
