On May 17, 67 first grade students and 36 adults boarded the Chesapeake Breeze for a field trip to Tangier Island.
On the one hour and 45 minute boat ride, the students were treated to beautiful scenery and cool bay breezes, reported teacher Christa Dameron.
Upon arriving to Tangier, the islands’ four first grade students met the boat, along with their teachers, said Dameron. Everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch overlooking the harbor.
