Lancaster Freedom places fourth in Softball Nation’s September Shootout

The new Lancaster Freedom 10U softball team won the silver bracket championship at Softball Nation’s September Shootout in Richmond last weekend. The team placed fourth overall.

Skye Smith hit four home runs in the two-day tournament.

The team was formed several months ago with coaches Jeff Willis and Stephanie Naumoff leading 13 local girls. Practice is held three times a week at Dream Fields in Kilmarnock.
