Lancaster High golf team opens promising season with two wins

If it seems like Lancaster High School golfers just wrapped up their season, that’s because they did.

Thanks to the Virginia High School Leagues consolidated 2020-21 calendar, fall sports—golf, football, cross country, volleyball—ended play a few short months ago. The state golf tournament was held three months ago in late April and the fall 2021 season opened with the first practice July 29 and an opening match August 9.

LHS has gotten off to a 2-0 start with wins over Rappahannock and Northumberland.
