Lancaster’s varsity baseball team outscored opponents 13-3 last week to pick up a trio of wins and improve to 14-1 overall heading into the final week of regular season play.
The Red Devils beat the Eastern Shore’s Northampton, 6-1, then picked up Northern Neck District wins over Essex and Colonial Beach for a lock on first place with a 7-1 league record.
“It was another great week for the baseball team,” said LHS coach Welby Saunders. “We continue to receive high quality outings from our pitching staff, which gives us the opportunity to compete in every game.
