Lancaster moves forward on several initiatives; broadband efforts grow

LANCASTER—The Lancaster board of supervisors on Thursday, March 25, held a number of public hearings without public comment.

While one hearing was tabled until a further date, the rest were approved in 5-0 votes. Supervisors Jack Larson of District 1, Ernest Palin of District 2, Jason Bellows of District 3, William Lee of District 4 and Robert Westbrook of District 5 all approved the measures.

The board authorized Connie Frisby to install a single-wide manufactured home on general residential property at 1347 Devils Bottom Road in Lancaster. Planning/land use director Brian Barnes said no adjacent property had provided feedback.

The board relocated the District 1 polling place from the Upper Lancaster Ruritan Center to the Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department, 5170 Mary Ball Road, Lively. The move was required because….
