Lancaster pushes to the top in Region 1A sandlot standings

Lancaster moved into the lead in Region 1A standings last week by expanding its winning streak to six with a pair of wins over neighboring Northumberland in varsity baseball.

The Red Devils beat the Indians, 13-7, in Claraville on Tuesday, April 21, and took the lead late in their home win, 5-4, over Northumberland on Thursday, April 23, at Dream Fields.

Lancaster improved to 11-3 overall and will host Westmoreland tonight, April 30.

At NHS, Trevor Pittman earned the win for Lancaster, giving up seven hits, striking out three and walking one….
