KILMARNOCK—August will be a busy month for Lancaster schools as they prepare for both a high school graduation August 1 and welcoming students back to school on August 24.
The graduation is planned to be “the least restrictive that guidelines will allow,” said superintendent Dan Russell. The ceremony is expected to take place outdoors on the athletic field but “plans are still being finalized” as far as how many students or guests will attend at once or what will happen in the event of rain, said Russell.
Lancaster High School principal Tara Booth on June 9 shared with the school board the activities they’ve already done to recognize seniors.
