Lancaster slams Middlesex, 9-4

Lancaster collected 12 hits and scored five runs in its final two trips to the plate to beat Middlesex, 9-4, in Saluda on Wednesday, April 8, in varsity baseball.

The Red Devils rebounded from a scoreless outing Tuesday, April 7, when Caroline beat LHS, 4-0. Lancaster came off three straight losses to pick up the win and improve to 6-3.

Northern Neck District play will begin this week when Lancaster plays Colonial Beach back-to-back. The Devils will go to Colonial Beach today, April 16.

Braden George went six innings on the mound for the win last week against Middlesex. He struck out five, walked three and allowed seven hits. Tucker Braly stepped-up to close.

Lancaster scored two runs in the top of the first on four singles and pushed another two across for a 4-0 lead in the third on two singles, a walk and a George double.
