LANCASTER—Following a closed session Thursday, March 29, the Lancaster board of supervisors approved the purchase of land for proposed school facilities.
Chairman and District 4 supervisor Bill Lee moved to approve the purchase and the motion passed unanimously, 5-0, with support from District 1 supervisor Jack Larson, District 2 supervisor Ernest Palin Jr., District 3 supervisor Jason Bellows, District 5 supervisor Robert Westbrook, and Lee.
The 156-acre property is at 2035 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock. It will be purchased from Howard Beale for $795,000 and a deposit of $12,000 made by April 11.
