The Lady Devils christened the new gym at Lancaster High School with a clean sweep of Arcadia, 3-0, in the first regular season home volleyball match on Tuesday, September 1.
LHS celebrated a dual victory with the junior varsity team also picking up a 2-1 win over the Firebirds.
In the varsity match, the Lady Devils had little trouble with the visiting Eastern Shore team, beating them 25-7, 25-13, 25-4.

Kelsey Bishoff held a serving clinic in the final set and was behind the line for 17 straight points to give LHS a 17-0 lead. She finished the match with 10 of the team’s total 29 aces. Suzi Geier had six aces; Addie George, five; and Rory Lally, four.
Lexi VerMeer dominated at the net, putting over 12 of Lancaster’s 31 total kills. Kelsie Cox had eight kills and Kailyn Allen, five. Izzy Gill had two blocks.
Lally led the setters with 16 assists and Allen, five.
George had 14 digs to lead the defense and Lally, five.
Lancaster is 3-1 heading into the Auburn Eagles Tournament on Saturday, September 12. The Lady Devils will play four matches in the tournament then take a few days off before traveling to Northampton on Thursday, September 17.
