Lancaster track and field teams learning, improving

Only five points separated the top three boys teams at a six-school track and field meet at Northumberland High School last week. Essex scored 90 points for the team win to beat runner-up NHS by four points. The Indians scored 86, while Lancaster was one point behind, 85, for third place.

Lancaster won four individual events with jumpers senior Porter Pittman and junior William Ball leading the field events and junior D’Andre Newton pacing the runners.

Pittman won the triple jump, 39’5”, and Ball won the long jump, 21’1”.
