Lancaster track teams each place fifth at Charles City

Lancaster High School girls and boys on Thursday, April 17, finished at the middle of the pack at the Charles City Regular Season Meet #2. The Red Devils finished fifth among 10 scoring teams in both meets.

King William won only one event but was the runner-up in four and placed third in three to win the girls meet with 103.5 points, 22 points better than second-place Hampton Roads Academy with 81.5 points.

Host Charles City was third with 75; Walsingham Academy, fourth with 67; Lancaster, fifth with 66; Middlesex, sixth with 62; and Northumberland, seventh with 61; Mathews, eighth with 38; Arcadia, ninth with 19; and Denbigh Baptist, 10th with eight.

Tahlia Sutton had the only first-place finish for the Devils. She cleared 4’2” to win the high jump. Sutton also scored in….
