The Lancaster High School varsity volleyball team lost it’s final two regular season games to enter this week’s Northern Neck District tournament as a third place seed.

The Lady Devils were scheduled to play second-place Northumberland in Claraville earlier this week, while top-ranked Rappahannock hosted fourth-place Colonial Beach. The winners will meet tonight in the district championship at the higher seed.

Lancaster finished the season at 14-5 overall with four losses in the district, including two to the Raiders. Northumberland was 9-4 overall with three losses in the Northern Neck. Rappahannock went unbeaten in the district at 10-0 and finished 19-3 overall with the only losses coming to Class 3 schools King George, Massaponax and Colonial Forge.
