Lancaster wins region quarterfinal match

Lancaster varsity volleyball players celebrated a Region 1A quarterfinal win over Rappahannock on Monday, November 3. The Lady Devils swept the Raiders, 3-0, and will host a semifinal match against Mathews at 6 p.m. tonight, November 6. The Blue Devils beat Northampton, 3-2, to advance. Middlesex, who blanked Charles City, 3-0, will host Northumberland, a 3-2 winner over West Point, in the other semifinal. A win for LHS tonight automatically earns the Lady Red Devils a berth in the Class 1 state tournament. Look for more Region 1A tournament coverage in the November 13 Rappahannock Record.
