Lancaster wrestling team gains experience at Mathews Invitational

Missing a few wrestlers and coming off a two-week holiday break, Lancaster’s wrestling team finished 10th out of 15 teams last weekend at the Mathews Invitational. 

Lancaster’s Thomas Major was the only medalist, placing second in the 106 weight class. 

“Despite not having the best match results, gaining experience from wrestling against bigger programs is more valuable in the long run,” said coach Craig Oren. 

Varina won the tournament. Gloucester finished as the runner-up and Lafayette placed third……
