LCL to host program on Lyme Disease, tick-borne illnesses

Jonathan A. Edlow, MD, is the next speaker for “A Special Evening With…” The program will begin at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 13, at the Lancaster Community Library (LCL), 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

A professor of medicine and emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Edlow is the author of Bull’s Eye: Unraveling the Medical Mystery of Lyme Disease.

Attendees will learn about when to suspect tick-borne illnesses, as well as their treatment and prevention, said library director Alice Cooper. The presentation will have many images of ticks and rashes.

This is the fourth of six programs in “A Special Evening With…” summer series at the LCL.
