LES students prep for Washington, D.C., trip

Chef Christal Jett talked to fifth graders on the importance of manners when dining out.

In preparation for the Lancaster Elementary School fifth grade field trip to Washington, D.C., in March, students have been attending weekly etiquette luncheons hosted by instructional assistant Heather Romano and writing teacher Jill Lottes.

Since November, students have explored areas of etiquette when riding on the bus, dining, in museums or while attending performances, reported Principal Keegan Walters. They also have discussed other situations which call for thoughtfulness and the consideration of others….
