Lancaster toppled previously unbeaten Essex with ease last Thursday and won a pitcher’s duel at Rappahannock last Tuesday to get off to a 2-0 start in Northern Neck District varsity baseball play.
“It was a great start to the district season, picking up two road victories over tough opponents,” said LHS coach Welby Saunders. “Our pitching staff has been phenomenal leading the way and we have been able to get key hits when we need them most.”
