LHS band practice will begin July 29

The Lancaster High School Red Devils Marching Band will begin gearing up for its 2024 season at the end of July. Practices will extend from 8-10 a.m. July 29 through August 1 and August 5 through 8.

All practices are mandatory for all members. If there is a conflict, contact band director Kenny Flester at LHS, 462-5100 ext. 4245, or (kflester@lcs.k12.va.us).

The marching band was very successful last year, winning first place in the Urbanna Oyster Festival Parade, receiving three Excellent ratings and one Superior (the highest rating) from judges in the Northern Neck/Middle Peninsula Area Concert Assessment, two Excellent ratings and two trophies, including a first place trophy, at Festivals of Music in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and having two students make the NNMP Area Honor Band.
