LHS booters kick NHS, 7-5

Lancaster and Northumberland scored a combined seven goals in a frenzied final 28 minutes of a soccer match on Wednesday, April 15, with the Red Devils outlasting the Indians for a 7-5 win.

The victory lifted Lancaster to 2-0 against Northern Neck District teams and they stand at 4-3 overall after a loss to Williamsburg-based Warhill late last week.

“It’s all mental and about building trust,” said LHS coach Rob Pittman. “To be down one goal with 13 minutes to go then score three goals in four minutes tells me these boys are building a belief in one another.”

Lancaster took a 2-1 first-half lead….
