LHS boys basketball teams racking up unbeaten games

Lancaster High School cagers picked up a pair of wins at the DreamChasers Showcase December 17 and both the junior varsity and varsity teams carry an unbeaten record into the holiday break.

Tyson Henderson scored 27 points to lead Lancaster in an 80-43 win over Hampton Christian Academy and be named the MVP of the showcase at Walsingham Academy.

The JV Red Devils also picked up a win Saturday, 75-58, over Lafayette.

Varsity

The varsity Red Devils beat both Hampton Christian and Middlesex last week to improve to 6-0.

Lancaster led by 16 at the half then outran Hampton, 17-6, in the third quarter and held the private school to single-digit scoring in both second-half quarters.

The Devils shooters were hot from outside in the first half with Gerrion Owens hitting four three-pointers in the first half, including three in the second quarter. Ty. Henderson, who led three double-digit scorers for LHS, also drilled two threes in the first half….
