Lancaster ran away with wins in both the Northern Neck District girls and boys cross county championships and produced the individual medalist in both races.
All the runners in the Northern Neck District meet will advance to this week’s Region 1A meet at Eastern State Hospital’s track in Williamsburg.
Lancaster sophomore Hailey Smith paced the girls race and senior De’Avion Harding led 30 runners in the boys race.
Smith led a field of 21 runners from three teams and crossed the finish line four minutes ahead of teammate and runner-up sophomore Chyra Boyd. Smith ran the race in 20:47 and Boyd placed second in 24:38.
Six of the Lady Devils’ seven runners finished in the top 10 and all seven were in the top 15…
