LHS softball team goes 2-1 in Wells Fargo Advisors Invitational

Lancaster improved to 5-2 in varsity softball after picking up two wins in the three-day Wells Fargo Advisors Invitational last week. The Lady Devils went 2-1 in the tournament with its only loss coming to Class 2 Nottoway.

Addie George gave up seven hits, struck out two and walked one as Lancaster picked up a 12-2 mercy-rule win over Rappahannock County to open tourney play Thursday, March 27. George went all five innings on the mound in the shortened game and helped her own effort with a 2-for-4 day at the plate. She scored once and had an RBI on a double and single.

Braelyn Johnson had the big day at the plate, batting 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
