LHS track and field teams compete among 29 schools in Triemplar Memorial

Xavier Sutton and William Ball had the best finishes for the Lancaster boys and the 4X100 meter relay team led the LHS girls at the Jim Triemplar Memorial Invitational at Atlee High School on Saturday, May 9.

The meet included teams from 29 different schools in all Virginia High School League classes.

Sutton tied for 10th with Jamar Hammond of Middlesex and Alimamy Kabia of Brooke Point after clearing 5’10” in the high jump. There were 23 jumpers in the event. Sutton also went 38’9” to finish 14th of 26 jumpers in the triple jump.

Ball cleared 10’6” to place 10th in the pole vault.

The boys 4X400 meter relay team placed 15th, 3:53.15.
