LHS volleyball team looks promising, says coach Kellum

Lancaster High School swept the Tidewater District team, 3-0, at home Thursday, September 5, to go 1-1 against the Cavaliers in varsity volleyball.

The Lady Devils also traveled to Rappahannock County Saturday, September 7, for an invitational, where they lost the first match, 2-0, and won the second, 2-0, in a doubleheader against the host Panthers.

Lancaster is now 1-3 overall.   

Against KWHS, freshman outside hitter Lexi VerMeer had 14 kills to dominate at the net. VerMeer is one of four freshman on the nine-player roster. She also had 10 kills in the two matches against Rappahannock County.

Freshman middle hitter Kelsey Bishoff had five kills against KWHS and freshman libero Addie George had 10 digs.
