Living Water Lutheran, Mt. Olive Baptist read Fight On, My Soul

Two local churches have come together to read and discuss the book, Fight On, My Soul, by James E.C. Norris, M.D.

The book, published in 2009, is a son’s biography of his father, Dr. Morgan E. Norris, who lived from 1883-1966. 

Dr. Morgan Norris, the first Black physician in the Northern Neck, practiced medicine in the area from 1917-1964. The Norris home on Mary Ball Road near Kilmarnock still stands. An historic marker was placed there in 2009. Dr. Norris’s portrait hangs in the Lancaster County Courthouse.
