IRVINGTON—White Stone Deputy Mayor Irving Brittingham, Irvington Mayor Julie Harris, Kilmarnock Mayor Shawn Donahue, Tangier Mayor James “Ooker” Eskridge, Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn and businessman Cameron Evans gathered before the premiere of ‘Been Here, Stay Here’ at Compass Cinema Six on Friday, September 5.

Eskridge and Evans are residents of Tangier Island and figure prominently in the documentary, which focuses on the island’s history and its struggle against climate change and erosion.
The movie was initially scheduled to run for a week but due to its popularity, Compass has extended showings through Thursday, September 18.
