BALTIMORE, MD—Lucy Beatrice McLendon of Baltimore, Md., died February 4, 2018.
She was born April 17, 1923, the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Nickens of Lancaster.
Mrs. McLendon was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Virginia and later Calvary Baptist Church in Jamaica, N.Y. She was educated in Virginia and New York.
She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic, AT&T and Verizon for 26 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, King James McLendon; and brothers, Benjamin and Carroll.
Mrs. McLendon was interred in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Wicomico Church.
