Martha B. Webster

UPPER MARLBORO, MD—Martha Burnette Webster of Upper Marlboro, Md., died February 28, 2020.

She was born on January 11, 1932, in Millenbeck to the late Hugh Webster and Frances Smith Webster.

Martha was a member of Hartswell Baptist Church. She later joined the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church upon moving to White Stone. She became a member of the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church when she moved to Upper Marlboro.

Martha was educated at New Mollusk School and A.T. Wright School in Lancaster County. She worked at T.D. McGinnis Tomato Factory in Millenbeck and White Stone Mariner Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis V. Webster.

She is survived by two daughters, Katherleen Webster and Helen Webster, both of Baltimore, Md.; five sisters, twin sister Mary Dixon of Brooklyn, N.Y., Elouise Miller of Lawnside, N.J.; Frances Shirley Scott of Denver, Colo.; Grace Marion Holmes, Brentwood, N.Y., and Gwendell Josette Allen of Upper Marlboro; and one brother, Hugh Webster of Downey, Calif.

A celebration of life service was held Saturday, March 21, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
