Caroline Crittenden, who helped lead Mathews to the Class 1A state volleyball semifinals, was named the Region 1A player of the year and Lady Blue Devils’ coach Pat Moughon was named the coach of the year.
Crittenden was one of three Mathews players named to the all-region first team. Others were Sarah Brown and Mia Gillenwater.
The Northern Neck filled three spots on the first team including Washington & Lee’s Anne Carter Harding, Rappahannock’s Rilee Baughan and Northumberland’s Latney Hodges.
