MIDDLESEX COUNTY—Mattie Louise Johnson, 94, of Middlesex County transitioned to Glory on March 17, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. (Demetrius) Means; her daughter-in-law, Grace S. Hemby; grandchildren, Demetrius L. (Jahtoya) Means II, Robert M. (Tywana) Hemby II, Ryan V. (Jewel) Hemby, De’Ane L. Means, Russell L. Hemby and Robyn N. (Zachary) Thomas; great-grandchildren; great-great grandson; sister/cousin, Eula M. Royster; sister/friend, Mona Gusmus; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie (Bill) and Rose Williams Jones; her beloved son, Robert M. Hemby; and her husband, Henry S. Johnson.
Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords.
Home Going Service will be at noon Saturday, March 26, at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 2243 Buckley Hall Road, Cobbs Creek, VA 23035. Interment will be at Grafton Baptist Church, Hartfield.
