SALUDA—Maureen C. (Quigley) McDaniel, 53, formerly of Methuen, Mass., passed away December 5, 2016, at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Richmond.
Born in Methuen, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Christina (Riordan) Quigley. Raised and educated in Lawrence, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1981. She served her country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.
In 1991, she moved to Virginia from Salem, N.H., where she remained until her passing. She was employed as a mental health specialist for many years. While living in Virginia, Maureen remained a big New England sports fan, following the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, the Celtics and the Boston Bruins hockey team. She loved the local beaches, spending time with family cooking and enjoying the holidays.
She is survived by her two sons, Patrick J. McDaniel of Groveland and Paul L. McDaniel of Blacksburg; her sister, Maggie Eichhorn and her husband, John of Salem, N.H.; two brothers, Michael Quigley and his wife, Michele, of Gloucester and Donald Quigley and his wife, Sharon, of New Hope, Pa; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, December 16, at the St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence, Mass.
