Maxcine L. C. Grady

BALTIMORE, MD.—Maxcine Laverne Carter Grady died September 5, 2017, in Baltimore, Md.

She was born on February 18, 1950, to the late Gennis McKinley Carter and Vestelia Iretha Fisher Carter.

Mrs. Grady graduated from Forest Park High School in Baltimore. In 1970, she became employed as an information operator at C&P, which later became Bell Atlantic and then Verizon. She retired after more than 30 years of service. She later worked part time at Walmart and served as a day care mother to all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Grady Jr.; her brother, Kenneth Burnett Carter; and her sister, Althea Vestelia Carter.

She is survived by her children, Craig Mickles, Tamika Mickles, Trevon Robinson and Tyshon Grady; stepchildren, Angela Grady and Tyoka Grady, all of Baltimore; grandchildren, Tekerra, Tyonah, Cayla, Arthur, Jonathan, Joshua, Kenneth, Jerimiah, Natiya, Alasia and Giovanni; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Rice of Kilmarnock, Faye Taylor and Lovenya Grant of Baltimore; and brother, Cornell Conaway of Weems.

A funeral was held September 9 at New Calvary Life Church & Ministries, Baltimore. Interment followed at Loudon Park Cemetery.
