McClain will kick off concert series

Nancy McClain will be the featured performer at the Summer Time Music Series at 7 p.m. May 19 at White Stone United Methodist Church (WSUMC), 118 Methodist Church Road, White Stone.

From May through September WSUMC will host a Music Night each month, reported the Rev. Bryan McClain.

Nancy McClain, a vocal performance major at George Washington University, has just finished her first year and has appeared in two operas, Amhul and the Night Visitors and Ilanthe, a Gilbert and Sullivan Production.

She also has been featured in a Broadway Review performing a musical theater piece from “The Boyfriend.”

Her amazing vocal and acting talents have been greatly acclaimed by her peers as well as her professors. In addition to a major in vocal performance, McClain also is pursuing a minor in Asian Studies with an emphasis in Korean. Her plans are to travel to South Korea this summer with a group of students and faculty from GMU.

She is the daughter of the Stephanie and Rev. McClain.
