Middlesex beats Lancaster, 16-6

Middlesex High School held Lancaster scoreless until the final seconds to win a 16-6 varsity game in Saluda on September 19.

The Chargers scored late in the first half then took a 16-0 lead to start the second as the Red Devils struggled to keep momentum going through penalties, fumbles and an interception.

Middlesex changed up a predominantly ground game on both sides with under a minute to go in the first quarter when Cash Steel hit fullback Jakub Bowen on a 20-yard scoring strike with….
