REEDVILLE—Mildred Ann Lynch Simpson of Reedville was born on November 11, 1934, in Draper, N.C. She went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
Mildred was a homemaker and a retired interior designer for Montgomery Ward.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wesley L. Simpson Sr.; a son, Bobby Gene Simpson; a daughter, Kathy L. Colbert; and her great-granddaughter, Abigail Cullen.
She is survived by her son, Wesley L. Simpson (Teresa) of Reedville; daughter, Debbie S. Harris (Doug) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandsons, Michael Cullen, Ronnie Dillion, Marty Dillion and Erik Milau; and seven great-grandchildren.
Along with her Savior and immediate family members, Mildred was greeted in heaven by her two sisters, Rachel Stultz and Betty Lawson, who preceded her passing this summer.
Mildred was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to do handwork including upholstery, sewing, quilting and crocheting, and she loved to cook big family meals and visit with family.
Her service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, at Tibitha Church of God, Reedville. Interment will follow the service at Roseland Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
