‘Miss Piggy’ returns to work at RHHT

“Miss Piggy”, the porcine smoker and ambassador for Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RHHT) in Heathsville, recently returned to service promoting the Fun & Games barbecue fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. September 10 at the Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville.

Created in 1992 by Sid and Penny Mace of Reedville, and their son, Charlie Mace, “Miss Piggy” worked a short stint on the barbecue circuit, before spending many a good year resting in the shade of the Maces’ barn, reported RHHT Foundation executive director Corinne Becker.
