Missing Maryland woman found dead in Northumberland

OPHELIA—The body of a missing Maryland woman was found Monday, July 14, nearly 100 miles from her home, according to Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp.

Louise Cox, 79, of Prince George’s County was reported missing on the same day that the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) received the report of an unattended vehicle in the Ferry Road area.

Deputies ran the license plate and searched nearby where they discovered Cox’s body just offshore ….
