Town Centre Park will come to life April 15 with pirates, bagpipers, sailors and Native Americans as Museum Expo, sponsored by the Kilmarnock Museum, takes place.
Museums throughout the Northern Neck are expected to participate, reported Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn. Over 30 museums plan to attend.
Among the participating organizations are the Historic Christ Church & Museum, Stratford Hall, Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, Steamboat Era Museum, Deltaville Maritime Museum, Morattico Waterfront Museum, Northern Neck Farm Museum, Gwynn’s Island Museum, Essex County Museum, Lancaster Virginia Historical Society, Northern Neck of Virginia Historical Society, Belle Isle State Park, the Rappahannock Indian Tribe and Mattaponi Indian Reservation.
