‘Music on the Half Shell Stage’ announced

TSoul will open the series on August 10

Kilmarnock mayor Mae Umphlett recently announced three upcoming shows at the Kilmarnock Town Centre Park, 150 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

“We have developed ‘Music on the Half Shell Stage,’ a new concert series to coincide with our new Half Shell Stage amphitheater at Town Centre Park,” said Umphlett. “We have three concerts scheduled for the remainder of 2017 and more planned for 2018.”

“Music on the Half Shell Stage” is sponsored by Chesapeake Bank.

“We are excited to be sponsoring this new music event at the great new venue in our community,” said Chesapeake Bank president and chief executive officer Jeff Szyperski. “Kilmarnock continues to offer more family activities for us and surrounding communities, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

“We are delighted that Chesapeake Bank is our partner for this series of performances at the park. Together, we plan to bring music of all types-rock, country, gospel, bluegrass, just to name a few, to the Half Shell Stage. Some acts will be local, others regional and we hope to have one major concert each season,” she said.

On August 10, Music on the Half Shell Stage will present T Soul, fresh from his appearance on NBC’s The Voice.
