Thomas Neill, 22, of White Stone on Saturday, July 5, won the 2025 Firecracker 5K Run/Walk in Reedville, sponsored by the Greater Reedville Association as part of the community Independence Day festivities.
According to Timing Services by Arsenal Events, Neill crossed the finish line in 18:56. Holden Valerie, 20, of Henrico placed second overall with a time of 19:07. Jude Hardy, 16, from Fredericksburg placed third, 19:56.
The top three women overall include first, Morgan Axtell, 19, of Henrico, 21:57; second, Katherine Benfer, 29, of Richmond, 21:39; and third, Headley Bowis, 14, of Reedville, 22:58.
Some 487 runners/walkers participated.
