Bridge work ahead
Construction to replace this bridge on Windmill Point Road over Oyster Creek, previously scheduled to begin on Monday, July 27, was postponed to begin the week of August 3-7. Additional time was needed for utility relocation activities ahead of construction, reported Virginia Department of Transportation Fredericksburg District communications manager Kelly Hannon. Motorists can expect brief delays and temporary changes in the work zone during construction. Changes will include a temporary speed limit, a vehicle width restriction and traffic pattern changes.
