New owners Kylie and Travis Abbott are purchasing equipment and remodeling the interior of the laundromat in Kilmarnock. The exterior improvements will follow.
“Our goal is to get the machines 100% operational, then start on the outside,” said Travis.
Kylie added she would love to “make the building nice and cute, quaint on the outside, like the rest of the businesses in town.”
The Abbotts purchased the Kilmarnock Speedwash, 110 Irvington Road, in November and have changed its name to Kilmarnock Wash and Fold. Since purchasing the nearly 7,000-square-foot building, the two have bought 11 new 22-pound Speed Queen machines that use 50% less water than the ones they replaced.
