LANCASTER—The Lancaster school board resumed its chairman’s night discussions October 30 with a presentation from the architectural firm regarding new school facilities.
“There’s a lot of progress going on but you may not have seen it because most of it has been behind the scenes,” said Bob Moje of VMDO Architects.
There have been a number of meetings with teachers and staff focused on visioning and goal setting, said Moje. VMDO discovered educators in Lancaster are passionate and progressive and are ready to embrace new learning and teaching styles in a new space.
They also found the small-town culture is very present and there is a strong desire to cultivate a sense of place and pride through the new schools, he said.
